A quiet, or at least peaceful, Homecoming to Strawberry Seeds…
Hello Stranger! Actually it is me that has been the stranger as I know so many of you have been checking in here only to the Same Ol’ Same Ol’. I apologize. Life around here has been crazy busy but we are all fine.
I have had a bit of a personal awakening and realization that has kept me from this page for awhile and I think I am finally coming to terms with it. I have realized when you put yourself and your life out there inevitably there will be those who judge or try to denigrate your feelings and actions. I guess here would be a good spot to insert the lesson that when you send anonymous comments to my webpage I will A)not post them and B) can track your IP address in about a minute and a half. This is kind of the Caller ID of the internet.
In summation: Mean people really do suck!
So I had to pull back and think about why I am here … online I mean, though the bigger question is one we should probably all take on! I LOVE to write and communicate. I love to educate and make people aware. It is therapy for me, selfishly. It is also important to let people know they are not alone in their struggles. We all have them. Those that judge others are just trying to hide from their’s for a moment.
So I have decided to get back to what I originally intended for this site to be about and if you care to come along for the ride, you are more than welcome. If not, no hard feelings … move along. Nothing to see here at this train wreck!
Tomorrow is a big day for my family and a culmination of what this journey Julia’s cancer has brought us to and we are super excited. I hope to get back here later in the day with our announcement but until than, thank you for your love, your wonderful emails and comments (which I have been extremely lax in answering but appreciate all the same) and for always letting me feel your support ….
Hey, and I heard something about a little snow up north … stay warm!

I don’t know how anyone could be mean to you or your family! You have been through so much and inspire so many people. Don’t ever second guess yourself for a second. It’s people like you who know what it’s like when life hands you lemons, you turn it into lemonade! Keep on doing what you do so well…just be yourself and keep telling it like it is! Who ever you are out there, you couldn’t possibly know my friend Kathy, she is an inspiration to so many families. She is a great Mom to 3 great kids. She has faced so much in her life and still has a great sense of humor! Keep up the great work that you do and remember there are mean and stupid people everywhere, don’t waste your time on them.
I’m sorry that people haven’t been very nice. I don’t understand why people are so critical especially online. All I can say is karma is going to bite them in the butt. Welcome back!
